Philip R. Banghart, DDS

Meet Dr. Banghart

Dr. Banghart was born in Oak Park, Illinois and raised in Rockford, Illinois. He completed his undergraduate studies at Loyola University in Chicago in 1984. In 1988, he was awarded his dental degree from the University of Illinois in Chicago.

Dr. Banghart spent the following three years in the U.S. Air Force as a dental officer before completing a four year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma in 1995. He attained Board Certification by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 1997.

Dr. Banghart joined the Affiliates in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 1995. His main practice is at our Mattoon office location.

Dr. Banghart is a member of several associations and societies which include:

• American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons
• American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons
• Illinois Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons
• American Dental Association
• Illinois State Dental Society
• Eastern Illinois Dental Society

Dr. Banghart is on staff at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon, Illinois
