Theron C. Waisath, DMD

Meet Dr. Waisath

Dr. Waisath completed his undergraduate studies at Brigham Young University in Civil and Environmental Engineering. In 2004 he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree, graduating Cum Laude, from Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine. He then completed a one year internship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinic. Following his internship, he completed a four year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Cincinnati. Dr. Waisath attained Board Certification by the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons in 2011. His surgical interests include dental implants, surgical tooth extractions, sedation, anesthesia, facial trauma, and orthognathic surgery.

His most current research has focused on the effects of obesity during the healing process. Publication of this research can be found in the August 2009 edition of Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine, Oral Pathology, Oral Radiology and Endodontology.

Dr. Waisath joined Affiliates in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2009. His main practice is at our Champaign office.

Outside of his professional pursuits Dr. Waisath enjoys sports, exploring the outdoors, studio arts, and spending time with his wife and children.
